IT in the public sector must be efficient, quick, easy to maintain and easy to integrate. Delays or lengthy processes in designing software for governments slow down governments functions. Government digitisation is one of the biggest industries in the world, and costs governments across the globe billions of dollars a year. The standard approach of creating new software for governments  is that six to twelve months are spent on huge requirements documents, which then move onto a public procurement process, and then deciding on a supplier. By this stage approximately two years will have passed, and no software has been made or delivered. Then the project starts which includes a long test phase, integration with other IT systems, and then deployment to users.

cBrain is a leading Denmark-based company active within the information technology (IT) sector who has built standard software for governments and has demonstrated, that it works. cBrain has taken the standard, time-intensive approach and radically changed it. cBrain’s very first minimal viable product and the implementation of it will accomodate needs upfront, which in turn ensures that cBrain can spend the rest of the time configuring it to meet specific processes and the difference in time frames can be incredible. Two to six months is the average time for implementation of cBrain’s projects. This is key to cBrain’s success, not only the product but that it can be delivered in such a short time frame.

cBrain has worked extensively with different ministries in the Danish government, and for governments across the globe from the UK, US, Germany, and the United Arab Emirates, demonstrating that cBrain’s software solution can be used internationally. cBrain developed and implemented a solution for the UAE’s Ministry of Finance. This solution was developed and delivered within four months. The work that cBrain did for this led the company to be nominated to the World Summit on the Information Society Prize in 2021.

cBrain has also worked with the Danish Environmental Protection Agency. Fighting climate change is driven by government action, but inadequate infrastructure will cause interference to this process. The EPA is the national authority on environmental regulation and monitors the status of nature and the environment with 245 unique administrative processes, which would take years and hundreds of millions of kroner to digitize. Since speed is especially important for climate interventions in reducing CO2 emissions,  the EPA - with cBrains flexible platform - was able to significantly reduce the time it would normally have taken to implement governmental procedures. The software can be applied in country after country, speeding up the processes from years to months resulting in a more effective implementation. This is not only beneficial to the governments in terms of time saved, but also to the citizens as this is in the best interests of the taxpayers.

cBrain operates in a huge industry with heavy competition, however by creating software for governments within a short timeframe, while maintaining an extremely high quality cBrain is disrupting not only the IT industry itself, but also how governments operate across the globe.
