In an increasingly noisy world, earning customers’ attention isn’t getting any easier.

Smart marketing tactics and best practices are there for everyone in the digital realm, which adds elevated importance to finding ways to leverage technology to drive business growth. Aleksandra Korczyńska, Chief Marketing Officer at GetResponse, says that for many businesses, refining the customer journey and experience is dependent on developing – and automating – recurring processes that spur growth.

There are three main challenges when a remote-first company is established: hiring the best talent, meeting the needs of the market and the customer, and making efficient strategy executions.

GetResponse answers each of these challenges through progressively pursuing solutions. Boasting companies such as Revolut, ZenDesk, and CD Projekt among its customers, GetResponse offers a complete marketing solution centered around email marketing, marketing automation, website builder, conversion funnel, webinars, live chats, ecommerce marketing automation, and more.

Igor Orlicki, the company’s Head of Customer Experience, says that the GetResponse customer journey is carefully planned to specifically deliver on their needs.

“Customer onboarding specialists offer initial training and elicit first goals from the customers. Our onboarding specialists prepare a custom success plan which customers love: they have someone that handles their projects, who oversees their goals, and proactively contacts them to check on how they are doing and how we can help further.”

This approach is possible because of the company’s own framework and foundation.  Mac Ossowski, Board Member and Director of GetResponse MAX, which offers custom-built solutions for enterprise-level customers, explains why.

“We've been a bootstrapped company from the very beginning. Bootstrapping is a way of growing your business without any external investment loans or credit.”

The approach has allowed GetResponse to grow organically from its base in Poland to becoming a truly global company. Ossowski says that its success comes from a willingness to react to customer needs.

But how does the company disrupt and innovate? Piotr Mathea, Product Development Innovation Manager at GetResponse, explains that the answer lies in values:

“Every product that we create is basically a vehicle for value exchange. We maintain an attitude of innovation through removing obstacles to emerge. We do that by removing the silos that naturally emerge in any human organization.”

As Korczyńska says, this agile, entrepreneurial approach is mirrored in the customers they serve.

“Startups need a website and a way to communicate with their first leads with popups and forms. GetResponse is offering a suite of tools that every single entrepreneur needs to scale their business. By being bootstrapped, our internal team members have the freedom to experiment and work remotely.”

Ossowski says that as the company has grown, so has its ownership – by those who work for it.

“GetResponse has launched an employee stock option plan that allocates shares of the company. Stock options, where employees become invested owners, help retain top talent in the company and attract new potential employees.”

For Korczyńska, the company’s longevity is about adapting to a changing market and staying true to their core value of curiosity:

“As the world changes, we also are evolving and staying one step ahead. We are looking for the next breakout for technology within the next five years so that we can serve our customers in an even better way.”
